Hello there! I'm Maharu Jacobs pronounced (Ma ru), a wedding & portrait photographer based in the beautiful city of Los Angeles, California.

Meet Your Photographer!

I picked up photography as a hobby during my early teenage years and and fell in love with the craft ever since. Photography is passion that has been with me for quite sometime and has led me into an entrepreneurial path. I believe in supporting one another and what’s a better way of helping couples celebrate one of the most special moments of their lives than weddings. I also believe in making sure couples feel comfortable while capturing their wedding date. Outside of photography, I am an advocate for creating music, running and healthy lifestyle.

As a Ethiopian-American, if your planning a cultural wedding, your tradition is celebrated here. Every wedding brings its own challenges, beauty, and joy that I strive to capture with every photo. Everyone has a story and together we have the opportunity to capture the breathtaking moments that last forever. Documenting moments as they unfold gives me great joy and continues to inspire me.

As a visual story teller, I describe my work as natural, authentic, and timeless. I approach every wedding and engagement session with a photojournalist style. I describe my style of imagery as vibrant and clear, as well as accurate and timeless. Capturing moments that last forever and serving continues to inspire me to pursue wedding photography.

You can also check out our wedding pricing to make sure it aligns with your budget, especially if you're considering booking with me after your amazing session. If you decide to book with me after your free engagement session, you will receive the value of the engagement session ($550) off on any of the packages found on the website because you’ve already done an engagement.
