Hey, I'm Maharu, (pronounced Ma ru) a traveling wedding and elopement photographer based in Los Angeles, California!
I picked up photography as a hobby during my early teenage years and and fell in love with the craft ever since. Photography is passion that has been with me for quite sometime and has led me into an entrepreneurial path. I believe in supporting one another and what’s a better way of helping couples celebrate one of the most special moments of their lives than weddings. I also believe in making sure couples feel comfortable while capturing their wedding date. Outside of photography, I am an advocate for creating music, running and healthy lifestyle.
As a Ethiopian-American, if your planning a cultural wedding, your tradition is celebrated here. Every wedding brings its own challenges, beauty, and joy that I strive to capture with every photo. Everyone has a story and together we have the opportunity to capture the breathtaking moments that last forever. Below you will find further details about my process and the experience of working with me. When working with me, you can expect a combination of professionality, creativity, technical knowledge, and artistry to create stunningly beautiful images. Client satisfaction is my top priority. Check your email. You can expect a response from me within 48 hours or less but I typically respond within hours, not days.
Step 3: Schedule Consultation
Schedule your consultation via link in the email. We’ll set up an in-person meeting, video call, or phone call. It really is that simple.

What is covered during consultation?Feeling confident and being informed before the wedding date is crucial, not only for you but also myself. Your free consultation is for me assist you and make sure your getting exactly what your looking for. We'll go over what your plans are for the big day and ensure everything goes smoothly. We don't live in your area, can we still book you?Absolutely! I am open to travel anywhere within the United States. I will go where your wedding is. Travel more than 25 miles away from my residence will be added to the package of your choice. Mileage will be charged at the standard IRS mileage rate.

How many images will we receive?There is no limit to the amount of photos you can receive. Wedding starting coverage approximately delivers between 400-1000 high resolution images. The longer your wedding day is, the more photos you will receive. One hour engagement session typically deliver between 30-50 high resolution images. While I often do take more photos than this, its my goal to give you variety of beautiful images to choose from.

When can we expect to receive our photos?Wedding galleries typically take 4-8 weeks for finalized images to be complete. Engagements can take up to 2 weeks. All images will be delivered on time through an online private photo gallery where you can download, share, and order prints of your choice!

Do you have any limit on coverage time?My wedding package coverage starts with 6 hours, crystal cover flush mount album, and exclusive online photo gallery of high resolution images. I also offer many other packages that include unlimited coverage (up to 12 hours.) I am there for you as long as you need me.

Do you have insurance?Yes. You should be excited and looking forward to your wedding day. Worrying about what-ifs is the last thing that should be on your mind. I can provide your venue with my insurance information upon request.

Love your work Maharu, how do we book you?Thank you! I'd love to connect and chat. A signed contract along with retainer is required to officially hold your date, and final payment is due 7 days before your wedding date. I will schedule a payment method that best suits your need.
